At the age of 11, I told my father, Pastor J. Allen Sweets, I was going to be a “landscaping remodeler.” Not the right terminology I now recognize, however, it is representative that I have always been intrigued by the development and beautification of real estate.
At the age of 20, my 19-year-old brother and I bought our first real estate investment property together.
Then after completing my bachelor’s degree at Augustana University (Mathematics, Education & Art) at the age of 22, I got my Real Estate Broker’s Associate License, and the world of real estate truly began to open. Having now seen the benefits of owning investment real estate & negotiating deals as an agent I was hooked and have not stopped since. Always trying to innovate and learn I then branched out into multifamily and then commercial real estate transactions and investments.
I worked tirelessly closing countless transactions both as an agent & investor. I became addicted to discovering the secrets and tricks of the real estate industry. I was thrilled to formulate plans for negotiations and aimed to exceed my client's expectations in every transaction. This drive in turn produced an overwhelming amount of success.
After gaining an adequate amount of experience I decided to branch out on my own. In 2016 at the age of 29, I founded my first brokerage, Sioux Metro Real Estate LLC, which I still own and run but it is now a non-MLS brokerage. I am excited to grow this new brokerage HOME Realty Sioux Falls with all the new-age tools and tricks to fully serve every client I meet throughout this journey.
As a father of 11 daughters and 1 son, yes 12 total, I desperately attempt to follow the invaluable words of Jesus in Matthew 22:37-40 love God with everything you have and treat others the way you want to be treated. As I continue to live, learn, and mature I strive to ensure that everything I do is acceptable in the sight of God Psalms 19:14.
